Some excellent news has come in from UK charity Fight For Sight; a study part-funded by the organisation has resported success in reversing damage from the "most common inherited eye condition" using gene therapy and mini retinas.

Although there had previously been no cure for retinitis pigmentosa, Fight For Sight is hopeful that these new findings hold potential and may pave the way for future treatments of the disease. Retinitis pigmentosa, an umbrella term for a group of progressive eye diseases, currently affects approximately 1 in 4,000 across the UK.
