The Benefits of Exercise for Vision

A new study has now determined that exercise can slow or prevent the development of macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.


The research, conducted by the University of Virginia, found that exercise can reduce the harmful overgrowth of blood vessels in animals by up to 45%. It is the first study to definitively find that exercise can reduce the severity of macular degeneration.
